An Internet-based business model using a personal portal page is provided to conveniently use a bookmark managing function of a web browser throughout the entire picture of the web browser and enable a user to decorate a personal portal page with home page constituting elements and design through a home page editing function. A user clicks a bookmark of a personal portal page with a mouse, and information on the bookmark is transmitted to an operator server. The number of accesses by users and sites is accumulated in a user bookmark database of the operator server. The number of accesses by users and sites is detected based on the accumulated number of accesses. An operator classifies sites requested to display advertisement by categories and stores the sites in an advertisement database. The user requests the operator server to transmit a personal portal page. An advertisement site in the same category as a site that users frequently access for a predetermined period of time is extracted from the advertisement database. The advertisement contents of the extracted advertisement site are inserted into a pop-up window of the user. The requested personal portal page with the pop-up window is transmitted to a web browser of the user. |
