A wire dispensing apparatus 1 for mounting on a mast 3 of a post driver 2 comprises a support frame 5, a coil support 11 is rotatably mounted on support frame 5 for supporting a coil of wire such as wire netting used for fencing for animal or stock enclosures and dispensing the wire from the coil and attachment means demountably engagable with the mast 3. The support frame 5 may have an upper arm 6 and a lower arm 7 interconnected at their outer ends by an upright 8. A jaw 9, 10 may be provided at an inner end of each arm 6, 7 for engaging the mast 3 of the post driver 2. When the apparatus 1 is engaged with the mast 3, it may be retained on the mast 3 by lowering a hammer 27 slidably mounted on the mast 3 to engage a top of the apparatus 1 and lock the apparatus 1 on the mast 3. A wire guide 18 formed by a vertical slot in upright 8 may be mounted on the support frame 5 and a iwre clamp may releasably clamp the wire within the vertical slot. Coil support 11 may include a sleeve 14 rotatably mounted on an upstanding spindle 12 and a coil carrier plate 15 at the lower end of the sleeve 14. The post driver 2 may include a back shift A and a side shift B for positioning the mast 3 relative to a vehicle upon which the post driver 2 is mounted and also means for tilting C the mast 3. |
