The present invention relates to gates and gateways on farms. In particular the invention provides an electrified gate barrier composed of two-section each of which is attached by link hinge and supporting chains to individual posts on either side of a gate through which a farm vehicle may pass by pushing on the two electrified barriers causing them to open. When the vehicle has passed through, each double chain supporting system will cause the section of the barrier to which it is attached to swing back quickly into a fixed closed position utilising gravit thus preventing the escape of farm stock. The advantage of the system is the simplicity of the barrier's unigue hinge/chain-support system, powered solely by gravity; it includes no mechanical components that require maintenance and provides an uncomplicated solution to moving machinery around a farm. <Figure 1> |
