A virtual disk drive file transmission system and a method thereof are provided to prevent transmission delay by directly connecting a user terminal to a server or a client. A virtual disk drive file transmission system includes a user terminal(100), a server(200) and other clients(300,400). The user terminal includes a user interface(110) and an SMB gateway. The user interface is composed of a local disk drive and a virtual disk drive. The SMB gateway is composed of a database, an SMB manager and a file manager. The database stores header information, namely file information, size information, node information and block information. The file information can include document information, moving picture information and certificate information. The node information is IP address information which is allocated to the server or the clients. The block information includes segment size and type information of the server or the clients. The block information is for making the file manager check whether a segment corresponding to checked block information is the same as one another. The SMB manager controls the user interface on the basis of an SMB protocol. The file manager receives a requested file from the server or the clients by using the header information of the database in accordance with a file requested via the user interface by the user, and transmits the requested file to the user interface.
