A display apparatus and an EDID(Extended Display Identification Data) offering method thereof are provided to support a DDC(Display Data Channel) function by providing EDID according to a USB device or external devices. A display apparatus comprises a USB(Universal Serial Bus) control unit(110) which controls the connection with USB devices, a connection unit(120), an input unit(160) which selects inputs of external devices or the USB devices, and a control unit(170) which provides EDID to the connection unit or the USB control unit according to the selected input. Wherein, a first storage unit(130) stores the digital EDID, and a second storage unit(140) stores the analog EDID. A switching unit(150) connects either the USB control unit or the connection unit to the control unit under the control of the control unit.
