An anode electrode for a fuel cell is provided to ensure high activity by enhancing carbon monoxide oxidation, and to improve fuel oxidation. An anode electrode for a fuel cell includes: a catalytic layer comprising a mixed catalyst of a platinum-based metal catalyst and a carbon monoxide-oxidative catalyst supported on a carrier; and an electrode substrate that supports the catalytic layer. The carrier is selected from the group comprising ThO2, CeO2, Ce2O3, Mn_xO_y(wherein, x is 1-2, and y is 1-3), Co3O4, ZrO2, TiO2, and combinations thereof. The platinum-based metal catalyst and carbon monoxide-oxidative catalyst are mixed in a weight ratio of 95-99.9 : 5-0.1. |
