A mobile communication terminal having a function for transmitting information after call connection and a method thereof are provided to remove the necessity that a user has to input supplementary information directly whenever a call is connected with a receiving party requesting input of the supplementary information, thereby providing the user with convenience. According to a call connection attempt, a call is connected with a receiving party through a mobile communication module(S201). A controller determines whether transmission of supplementary information is set to the connected receiving party(S202). If so, the controller determines whether a transmission type for the supplementary information is an auto transmission type or a passive transmission type(S203). If it is the auto transmission type, an n value indicating an order of each lower layer configuring a layer structure of the receiving party is set to 1(S204). Entry into an n-numbered lower layer is performed(S205). The controller determines whether the n-numbered lower layer requests input of supplementary information(S206). If so, supplementary information stored as being matched with the n-numbered lower layer is read from a memory unit to be transmitted through the mobile communication module(S207).
