The safety shield is comprised a one piece body, e.g. of biocompatible plastic, having a hollow stem 11 and a disc-shaped collar 13 extending radially outwardly from one end of the hollow stem 11. The safety shield is mounted by the user in friction fit manner in a hub of an implanted needle and serves as a guide for the insertion of a biopsy needle into the implanted needle. |
