LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to minimize luminance variation by lowering position regularity of first and second liquid crystal cell groups according to the insertion of frame with non-regularity polarity patterns. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes an LCD panel(100), data and gate drivers(103,104), and a polarity control circuit(102). The LCD panel includes plural data and gate lines for supplying data voltages and scan pulses, and includes first and second liquid crystal cell groups. The data driver supplies data voltages to the data lines in response to a polarity control signal. The gate driver supplies the scan pulses to the gate lines. The polarity control circuit generates different polarity control signals for every frame period, and controls data voltage frequencies of the first and second liquid crystal cell groups differently.
