<p>A device and a method for inputting alphabets by using a semantically completed sentence are provided to enable a user to recognize the alphabets easily and effectively in a terminal having a restricted input environment by arranging the alphabets of each word forming the semantically completed sentence to each key of a keypad of the terminal. A keypad(110) arranges alphabets of each word forming a semantically completed sentence, which includes all alphabets from 'A' to 'Z', such as 'THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER LAZY DOG'. A word output part(120) outputs the alphabets arranged to the selected key to a screen display unit(150) when a signal for selecting the key is received. An input controller(130) inputs the selected alphabet when the alphabet output to the screen display unit is selected. A priority input controller(140) outputs more than one alphabet of 'E', 'T', 'A', 'O', and 'I' to the screen output unit, and inputs the selected alphabet when the output alphabet is selected.</p> |
