PROJECTION DISPLAY HAVING DUAL MODE FUNCTION

A projection type display device is provided to display two different images at the same time through a single light source unit, thereby downsizing the entire size of display device and driving the display device by a low power. A polarization beam splitter(310) splits light provided from a light source unit into a first polarization wave and a second polarization wave. A first light modulation element(320) is disposed on an advancing path of the first polarization wave provided from the polarization beam splitter. The first light modulation element modulates the first polarization wave according to a first image signal provided from a driver to provide a first image. A first projection lens unit(330) enlarges and projects the first image provided from the first light modulation element. A second light modulation element(340) is disposed on an advancing progress path of the second polarization. The second light modulation element modulates the second polarization wave according to a second image signal provided from the driver to provide a second image. A second projection lens unit(350) enlarges and projects the second image provided from the second light modulation element.
