<p>According to the invention there is provided a brake control apparatus for a bar-handle-type vehicle, including: a control unit (U) for controlling the braking using fluid pressure; an operator-side linking device (W1,20); a wheel-brake-side linking device (W2/30); and a mechanical brake (R) as one of front and rear wheel brakes. The operator-side linking device (W1,20) includes: a first pull member (W1) to be pulled by a brake operator; and a master cylinder unit (20) which generates fluid pressure to be applied to the control unit (U) due to the pulled first pull member (W1). The wheel-brake-side linking device (W2,30) includes: a cylinder unit (30) operable by fluid pressure output from the control unit (U); and a second pull member (W2) for pulling the mechanical brake (R) in linking with the operation of the cylinder unit (30). The control unit (U), the master cylinder unit (20) and the cylinder unit (30) are disposed in other portions of a vehicle body than the bar handles thereof.
