<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a gasified gas by which the adsorption ability is efficiently recovered and the gas purifying ability of a purifying apparatus can be sustained even when the adsorption ability of active carbon is deteriorated by adsorption of a high-boiling hydrocarbon compound in the gasified gas and to provide the purifying apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The method for purifying the gasified gas comprises passing the gasified gas obtained by pyrolysis of a solid organic substance such as an organic waste or coal etc., through an active carbon type adsorption apparatus 1 composed of a plurality of active carbon adsorption columns 1a to 1c and adsorbing dioxin and the high-boiling hydrocarbon compound which is a liquid or a solid at normal temperature and atmospheric pressure in the gasified gas on the active carbon. In the method for purifying the gasified gas, the gas passage of the gasified gas is blocked to reduce the pressure in the active carbon adsorption column 1c and a carrier gas is passed to thereby discharge the adsorbed high-boiling hydrocarbon compound to the side of the carrier gas and recover the adsorption ability for the active carbon adsorption column 1c in which the adsorption ability is deteriorated by the adsorption of the high-boiling hydrocarbon compound.
