<p>An NBC filter assembly (30) has a casing (31) having first and second ends (31a, 31b) supporting an air inlet (32) and an air outlet (33), respectively. Mounted in proper spaced relationship with the air inlet are a particulate filter (34) and an adsorption filter (35) having a perforated air inlet plate (36) facing the particulate filter. At least one spring (39) independent of the casing that has a first end supported within the first end of the casing and a floating second end is adapted to apply pressure to the perforated air inlet plate of the adsorption filter when the casing is sealed.</p> |
