<p>A method of harvesting stumps by means of a stump harvester comprises the steps: that a gripping device (30) is connected to the stump harvester (20) by means of a quick coupling; that the gripping device (30) is positioned above a stump (42); that the gripping device (30) is opened by moving apart a cutting jaw (33) and a counter jaw (34) of the gripping device (30); that the gripping device (30) is rotated about an axis of rotation into an operative position; that the stump (42) is treated by the gripping device (30), the stump (42) being gripped and cut by moving the cutting jaw and counter jaw towards each other; and that the treated stump (42) is at least partially removed from the plant area.</p> |
