<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method and a program, that can generate image data of higher resolution. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the image processing apparatus equipped with: an acquisition unit which acquires motion picture data including a plurality of successive frames, and one or a plurality of image data corresponding to the frames and having higher spatial resolution than the frames; a super-resolution processing unit which performs super-resolution processing on the frames using the plurality of frames to generate super-resolution images corresponding to the frames; a motion prediction unit which detects motion vectors between the frames using the motion picture data; and an image generation unit which can generate motion-compensated image data corresponding to the frames on the basis of the super-resolution images corresponding to the image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
