<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain threshold setting that make it possible to efficiently detect abnormality of traffic, such as the amount of data transmitted and received through a network, with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: In a threshold setting system 1 which automatically sets a threshold to be used for abnormality detection of communication traffic, a distributing unit 2 divides input observation values by consideration period units including preset representative time by referring to configuration information, a statistic quantity calculator 3 calculates the average value and the standard deviation of traffic data in each consideration period to find pairs thereof as statistics, and also calculates a weighted average (average statistic) of statistics calculated each time data corresponding to any of consideration periods in a current period are all observed and statistics calculated up to a past period, a statistic quantity calculator 4 for threshold setting calculates a weighted average of respective average statistics at all representative time points as a statistic for threshold setting, and a threshold calculator 5 calculates a threshold using the statistic for threshold setting and a predetermined parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
