<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face-to-face type connector capable of ensuring the connection between electrodes of a cable side and elastic contacts of a housing side. <P>SOLUTION: When a flat cable 50 with a reinforcing plate 60 is inserted into a loading section 40A, upper pieces 21b1, 22b1, and 23b1 of the pressing section 21b, 22b, 23b protrude far into the loading section 40A to press the vicinity of the center of the reinforcing plate 60. This prevents convex deformation of the surface of the flat cable with the reinforcing plate 60 due to compression by the elastic contacts 33. This assures the connection of the electrodes 51 of the flat cable 50 side and elastic contacts 33 on the connection substrate 30 side in the housing 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
