A slicing apparatus for vegetables includes a slicing apparatus with a base portion, a slicing area, an actuator support portion adapted to be releasably connected to the base portion; and an actuator, attached to the actuator support portion comprising a drive rod and a slicing blade portion. Another embodiment includes a mounting plate having a base-mounting surface and a wall-mounting surface, the base-mounting surface adapted to be removably attached to the base portion, and the wall-mounting surface adapted to be permanently attached to a vertical wall surface, the base-mounting surface and the wall-mounting surface being arranged at an angle to one another such that the drive rod is maintained at an angle to the vertical wall surface. |
