The method involves selecting or generating source signals, creating or selecting source signals assigned positions of virtual sound sources (2), and determining, generating or selecting position of a user (10). The sound propagation of the position of the virtual sound sources in the acoustic environment is simulated to the two ears of the user. The simulated ear signals are playback through a headset (9). The positions are computed based on parameters. The position of virtual sound sources is arranged in regular, infinite repeating pattern.
