Method for processing a web (10) of paper or foil material comprises guiding the web under a brake element (12), scanning the web using a reader (15), and conveying the web using a conveying drive (16) with variable speed. The brake element acts with variable braking force on the web so that the web is stretched tight and wave formation of the web between the brake element and the conveying drive is prevented. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Device for processing a web of paper or foil material; and (2) Brake element for the above device. Preferred Features: The brake elements presses in a dragging manner with varying pressure on the web. |
