A method for setting a ladder in place includes the steps of leaning a top edge of the ladder against a work surface and swivel shoes on the bottom end of each leg of the ladder onto ground, positioning the ladder until a bubble of a rung of the ladder indicates a level reading. The method also includes the steps of sliding a rectangular closed box section metal leg having a cap which acts as a stop in an upper housing portion, the upper housing portion has two holes side by side, and a lower housing portion spaced apart from the upper housing portion of a housing of the leg attached to a rail of the ladder and inserting a holder through a hole of the two holes of the upper housing portion and a hole of two rows of holes which are set side by side but offset vertically from each other and extend through the leg. |
