PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device, such as a liquid crystal device, which can perform a high-quality image display while extending the service life of the device. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device is equipped, on a substrate 10, with a data line 6a and a scanning line 11a, a plurality of pixel sections 700, and an image signal supply circuit consisting of (i) a shift register 51 which is equipped with a plurality of first transistor 51In and successively outputs transfer signals and (ii) other circuits 7, 52 which are equipped with a plurality of second transistors 71 and supply the image signals via data line to the pixel section based on the transfer signal successively outputted from the shift resistor. Further, the impurities of the same kind as that of the impurities included at a prescribed concentration are included into first source-drain regions 411nS, 411nD in the first transistors at a concentration higher than the prescribed concentration.
