PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent made of a nano line structure with various shapes and sizes, and a method for easily producing this nano line structure. SOLUTION: The absorbent is provided which is made of the nano line structure formed by agglomerating a nano line from a nano line solution to dry the agglomerated nano line. Further, the method for producing the nano line structure is provided which includes the steps of producing the nano line solution, agglomerating the nano line from the produced nano line solution and drying the agglomerated nano line. Thus, the nano line structure made of the nano line wide in the surface area and having a desired shape and size can be provided, and hence the capability to remove a volatile organic compound, a bad smell, oil contained in water or a contaminant can be improved.
