The present invention relates to a free fall launching test facility for a life boat of a ship which comprises: a testing hull; a work platform disposed on the upper deck of the rear side of the testing hull and provided for the free fall test of the life boat; a slope extended from the work platform, inclined downwardly toward the rear side of the hull and mounted for the life boat to be slid; a crane which is disposed on the slope and which connects the life boat to a rope; and a propulsion unit which is disposed on the bottom part of the rear side of the testing hull and which generates thrust according to various sailing conditions of the ship. The free fall launching test facility for a life boat of a ship according to the present invention is provided to perform a test conveniently in the facility having inner walls without providing real conditions, thereby making it unnecessary for the ship to sail far out at sea for performing tests and reducing the sailing costs of the ship; to collect the life boat by using a crane disposed on the test facility, thereby reducing the existing expenses which are caused by operating a tug boat for collecting the life boat and rapidly collecting the life boat; and to be free from weather conditions, thereby keeping an original test schedule. |
