ROUTE CALCULATION SYSTEM, ROUTE CALCULATION METHOD, AND COMMUNICATION NODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route calculation method in which a plurality of paths passing different routes are set between a transmission side node to be a start point of the path and a reception side node to be a terminal point, and the plurality of set paths are used for traffic load distribution or path protection, in a network wherein one network is divided into a plurality of areas to manage a route control protocol.

SOLUTION: In a hierarchical communication network divided into a transmission side area, a reception side area, and a plurality of repeating areas positioned between the transmission side area and the reception side area, a route calculation device belonging to the transmission side area collects topology information on the relay area where a plurality of paths pass and the reception side area via a topology information mediator in setting the plurality of paths via the relay area, and calculates a relay route of the path in the respective areas from the transmission side node to the reception side node on the basis of the topology information collected with a collection means.
