摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bronze process Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn superconducting wire rod with reinforcement of its mechanical strength aimed at and excellent in superconducting characteristics, and a structure for easily obtaining a precursor for manufacturing of the superconducting wire rod for realizing such a superconducting wire rod without giving rise to problems in processing. SOLUTION: The bronze process Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn superconducting wire rod precursor makes up an aggregate by bundling a plurality of superconducting complex elements 3 with (A) Nb or Nb-group alloy filaments arranged and a plurality of reinforcing complex elements 7 with (B) Ta or Ta-group alloy filaments arranged in a Cu-Sn-group alloy, and is a precursor with diffusion barriers and stabilized copper 6 arranged at an outer periphery. The Ta or Ta-group alloy filament arranged in the reinforcing complex elements is to have an area ratio occupying in a wire rod cross section of the precursor of 2 to 15%, and at the same time, an existence position of the reinforcing complex elements is within the limit of 0.7D to 0.9D, provided an outer diameter of the wire rod is D.
