The present invention relates to a character service system and a character service providing method thereof. The character service system can be realized by including: a terminal collecting images, and receiving caricature samples after delivering the collected images to a character service apparatus; and the character service apparatus which receives images from the terminal, and detects face characteristics from the received image, and generates a number of caricature samples by changing the characteristics as to a face image similar to the detected face characteristics or providing at least one image effect to the image whose characteristics are changed, and provides the generated caricature samples for the terminal.
