The present invention relates to a portable terminal for safety management which transmits operating status information of various industrial facilities, which was collected through a sensor network, to a portable terminal carried by an operator, and enables the portable terminal, which received the information, to notify the operator of the information reception by using a vibration, an alarm, etc. For this, the present invention desirably includes the following parts: a communication part performing communications with a server; a memory part containing unique identification codes which are assigned to each industrial facility; a control part checking whether a unique identification code, which is identical to a unique identification code contained in information which was received from the server through the communication part, is stored in the memory part; a touch screen part displaying the information, which was received through the communication part, based on a checking result of the control part and detecting touch screen input of a user; and a vibration generation part generating a vibration through the control of the control part based on a checking result of the control part. Therefore, the present invention transmits operating status information of various industrial facilities, which was collected through a sensor network, in real time to a portable terminal carried by an operator; enables the portable terminal, which received the information, to notify the operator of the information reception by using a vibration, an alarm, etc.; and enables the operator to immediately check the operating status information of various industrial facilities, thereby improving the safety of the operator.
