METHOD FOR EXTRACTING PLATINUM FROM ELECTRONIC SCRAP WASTES

A method relates to metallurgy and can be used for extracting precious metals, in particular platinum, from electronic scrap wastes. The method comprises the use of bismuth with addition of 1 wt% of indium as platinum collector in ratio of (2.0-2.5):1 to the initial material and oxidizing refining of the obtained molten bismuth-platinum by air at 900-1000°C. The technical result of the invention - simpler and cheaper method for extracting platinum from electronic scrap wastes.
