<p>OF THE DISCLOSUREAn elevator is provided which has a machine (30) using a rare-earthless magnet motor (4) and also designed to prevent the volume of a hoistway (45) from increasing. In this elevator the sheave (5) is reduced in diameter without changing the width W of the cubicle. The machine (30) of the elevator is provided with a tension pulley (23) which engages the rope (3) wrapped around the reduced-diameter sheave (5) and guides it to near the position that the rope (3) occupied before the sheave (5) has been reduced in diameter.Fig. 1</p> |
