ROAD STRUCTURE ON LOW-LOAD-BEARING SOILS (VARIANTS)

The invention relates to construction and is used for building roads on low-load-bearing soils. The inventive road structure on low-load-bearing soils comprises earth reinforced by one or more layers of brushwood pavement which is overlapped at a sharp angle to the road axis. The edges of the traffic area and/or the roadsides are reinforced by an addition brushwood pavement layer which is overlapped at an angle equal to or less than 15° to the road axis. The addition brushwood pavement layer is interlaced with at least one brushwood pavement layer. When the brushwood pavement consists of more than one layers, said layers are interlaced at the edges of the traffic area and/or the roadsides. In each pavement layer, the brushwood is arranged by alternating the direction of the brushwood stem placing in a "butt-to-top" manner. According to a second variant, the road structure on low-load-bearing soils comprises earth reinforced by one or more layers of brushwood pavement which are laid in a pre-excavated bed, the width of which is equal to the width of the traffic area, and the compressed earth extracted during the bed excavation is placed on the top of the brushwood pavement. Furthermore, the traffic area, the edges and the roadsides are reinforced in the first variant manner. The invention makes it possible to increase the reliability and the service life of the road structure and to use heavy transportation means thereon.
