The present invention relates to a method for increasing yield and/or enhancing improved vitality of a plant and/or for enhancing a plant tolerance or resistance to abiotic stress factors of at least one plant variety, which method comprises treating the plant propagules with an amide compound having the formula I (compound I), wherein the increasing yield and/or enhancing improved vitality of a plant and/or for enhancing a plant tolerance or resistance to abiotic stress factors does not depend of pesticide action of said amide. The present invention also relates to a method for improving the plant health of at least one plant variety, which method comprises treating the plant propagules with a mixture comprising an amide compound having the formula I (compound I) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a further fungicide II (compound II), a further fungicide III (compound IIb) and an insecticide III (compound III).
