The invention relates to a process for preparing methyl esters of omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids from refined ostrich oil. According to the invention, the process consists in that a mixture of methyl alcohol and refined ostrich oil is heated up to a temperature of 60°C, after which there is added 1% sulphuric acid in 30% methanol solution, while stirring and it is kept under stirring for 3h, to the reaction mass there is added 1% sodium hydroxide in methanol solution at a temperature of 50°C, after separation there result two layers, a glycerin-containing lower layer and an upper layer which is diluted with hexane and water, is dried on anhydrous sodium sulphate and, after crystallization, it leads to obtaining an oily product with a relative density of 1.89 and a refraction index of 1.49.
|
