Embodiments of the present invention relate to a battery pack and a method for controlling the same. The present invention provides the battery pack comprising a first battery cell group including a plurality of battery cells; a second battery cell group including a plurality of battery cells; a first impedance part which is connected to the first battery cell group in series; a second impedance part which is connected to the second battery cell group in series; and a battery management part which determines the deterioration degree of the first battery cell group and the second battery cell group and adjusts the impedance of the first impedance part and the second impedance part, thereby preventing the performance degradation due to the deterioration variation between the batteries.
