The present invention relates to an electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell and the dye-sensitized solar cell including the same. The electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell contains an organic solvent, an oxidation-reduction inducer, and a compound denoted by chemical formula 1. The electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell prevents the separation of dye absorbed to a working electrode and the oxidation of a counter electrode by moisture inside the electrolyte and moisture applied from the outside to prevent the deterioration of functions after long-term use and to improve photoelectric transformation efficiency.
