A smart electric vehicle of the present invention comprises a vehicle control unit (VCU) for controlling a vehicle at the best level by checking a gear shift step through a gear shift lever (40), a pedal operation through a brake pedal (52) and road inclined angle information through a tilt sensor (71), calculating a compensation torque to perform a hill start assist (HAS) which secures the safety by preventing the vehicle from rolling away when starting after stopping in the hill and including an operation algorithm which provides the compensation torque to a motor control unit (MCU) for controlling a torque of a motor (13), thereby solving the driver's inconvenience by preventing the vehicle from rolling away due to the unskilled operation when starting after stopping in the hill. |
