The present invention relates to a backlash control device for a worm gear to operate a worm wheel by being engaged with the worm wheel. The backlash control device for a worm gear comprises a worm shaft, a first worm gear, a second worm gear, and a position fixing unit. The worm shaft is arranged to correspond to the circumference of the worm wheel. The first worm gear is integrated with the worm shaft and is engaged with the worm wheel. The second worm gear is inserted into one side of the worm shaft. The distance between one end of the second worm gear and the first worm gear is adjustable. The position fixing unit is installed between one end of the worm shaft and the other end of the second worm gear to fix the second worm gear to one end of the worm shaft. The backlash control device for a worm gear achieves the same effect as the replacement of the worm gear by properly adjusting a backlash using the second worm gear separated from the first worm gear. |
