<p>The invention relates to a process for preparing fatty acid ethyl esters from refined bear oil. According to the invention, the process consists in the fact that a mixture of ethyl alcohol and refined bear oil heated up to a temperature of 65...70°C is treated firstly with p-toluenesulphonic acid, possibly 30% ethanol solution of sulphuric acid, after which the reaction mass is cooled and there is added ethanol solution of sodium hydroxide, it is continuously stirred for 3 h, then there is added water and it is stirred continuously for other 30 min, further on there is separated the upper layer which is dried on sodium sulphate, it is filtered, after which the oily product is processed by crystallization, wherefrom there results a colourless to slightly yellowish oil with a relative density of 0.889 and refraction index of 1.4911.</p> |
