<p>The invention relates to a method and a device which is an orthosis for the progressive correction of certain plantar problems, such as: flat feet, high arches, hallux valgus. According to the invention, the method consists in taking over data from a sensorial system indicating the number of steps, the time required for making them and the curvature change in the orthosis plantar zone, with a view to enabling the orthosis self-adjustment so as to meet the subject's recovery requirements. According to the invention, the device is an orthosis which is included within the footwear sole (1) and comprises two micro contact sensors (2, 3) positioned at the front and back parts of the sole, intended to indicate the number of steps made by the subject, their frequency, the distance, speed and theoretical acceleration of motion and the number of steps made upon running or walking, a tensometric sensor (4) indicating the pressure exerted on the subject's sole in the medial zone, used in monitoring the sole curvature evolution, an electronic system provided with a micro controller (5) capable of taking over and interpreting the data received from the sensors (2, 3, 4) and of sending control signals for a piezoelectric micro pump actuator (6) with a view to progressively changing the medial curvature (7) of the orthosis, depending on the degree of correction of the subject's plantar affection, by filling a silicone container (8) with liquid, a mechanical system including the electronics, a micro pump (6), a liquid reserve (9) and a battery (10) which supplies the micro controller (5) and the micro pump (6).</p> |
