A home network system and a method thereof are provided to control dozens of system air conditioners through one screen by using one MAIN PLC modem. A home network system comprises a wallpad(200), PLC modems(240, 250) and a MAIN PLC modem(230). The wallpad controls each basic functions of a device. The MAIN PLC modem receives a command from the wallpad through a single RS-485 protocol(210), and performs the conversion into command signals corresponding to devices. The PLC modems interfaces the command signals between heterogeneous devices.
