The mold (1) has a plate (3) provided with an opening (2) and comprising a surface (4) for receiving and punching a material sheet. A lifting unit (7) for lifting the sheet is positionable partially upstream of the opening. The lifting unit is movably mounted between an active configuration and an inactive configuration. The lifting unit lifts a leading edge of the sheet during a movement of the sheet in the active configuration. The lifting unit extends in a plane formed by the surface of the plate up to a thickness of the plate in the inactive configuration. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a female mold.
