FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises cutting by shaping cutter with working part cutting edge line composed by two sectors and intended for sequential rolling of one face of three-diameter noncircular shaft. At rolling in every revolution of shaping cutter processed is the sector including one face of noncircular three-diameter shaft related to noncircular shaft and two faces of cylindrical surface of shaft vertices. Shaping cutter is turned about its rotational axis at rpm multiple of the number of said vertices. Note here that said spacing is defined provided that there are no undercutting or overlapping of the profiles of cutter and shaft.EFFECT: expanded performances.3 dwg
