<p>The present invention relates to a system, apparatus, terminal, and method for generating characters. The character-generating system according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a terminal and a character-generating apparatus. The terminal collects images including the face of a user, transfers the collected images to the character-generating apparatus, and then receives caricature samples generated from the face of the user. The character-generating apparatus extracts facial feature points from images received from the terminal, searches for a similar face image from among a plurality of basic face images, generates a plurality of caricature samples by changing the feature points of the found face image or applying at least one image effect to a face image of which the feature points have been changed, and provides the generated caricature samples to the terminal.</p> |
