PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer transport device reused by separating a liquid carrier from a liquid developer by a filtering part and maintaining filtering performance of the filtering part over a long period, and an image forming apparatus having this liquid developer transport device. SOLUTION: This liquid developer transport device has a channel switching part for distributing the liquid developer, a first channel for flowing the liquid developer distributed by the channel switching part, the filtering part arranged in the first channel and filtering the liquid developer flowing in the first channel, a first storage part connected to the first channel and storing the liquid developer filtered by the filtering part, a second channel flowing the liquid developer distributed by the channel switching part, and a second storage part connected to the second channel and storing the liquid developer flowing in the second channel.
