The present invention relates to the use of at least one cyclohexanol derivative of the formula (I) and/or (II) as an antimicrobial active ingredient or as an anti-acne, antidandruff, antitranspirant or deodorizing active ingredient, formulations containing these compounds, and also special cyclohexanol derivatives and a process for production thereof.
