摘要 [Problem] To provide a material capable of simply forming a molecular-recognition surface on a variety of substrates, including plastics, by a coating method with which a thin film can be created in a short time, such as spin coating.[Solution] A biomolecule-compatible, highly branched polymer is a highly-branched polymer obtained by subjecting a monomer, having alkylene oxide and two or more radical polymerizable double bonds intramolecularly, to polymerization in the presence of a polymerization initiator in an amount between 5 and 200 mol% inclusive in terms of the number of moles of monomer, wherein the molecular terminals of the highly-branched polymer have a site for at least one of a pair of at least one type of biomolecule selected from the group consisting of pairs of the combinations of the following: biotin and avidin; antigen and antibody; polynucleotide and polynucleotide having a complementary base sequence thereof; cDNA and mRNA, enzyme (active site) and substrate, enzyme (active site) and product, enzyme (active site) and competitive inhibitor, enzyme (co-enzyme binding site) and co-enzyme, enzyme (co-enzyme binding site) and triazine dye, protease and protease inhibitor, Fc site and protein A, Fc site and protein G, lectin and sugar, hormone receptor and hormone, DNA and DNA-binding protein, heparin and fibronectin, and heparin and laminin.
