A mosaic video display method, and display control device and terminal utilizing the method, the method comprising: receiving a plurality of video data streams; invoking the same number of mutually-independent players as the number of video data streams, each player being used for displaying one mosaic cell; based on a preset distribution rule, distributing the plurality of video data streams respectively to the player corresponding to each video data stream, and controlling each distributed video data stream to respectively display in the corresponding mosaic cell. The method can set an independent program source for each mosaic cell.
