The arrangement has an upper casing part (11) whose bearing (21) is arranged in a bearing seat (11A). A bearing (22) of a lower casing part(12) is mounted and held on an expansive spindle (40) that is positioned on the lower casing part, so that tightening of the spindle allows automatic alignment of axes of the bearings. The spindle is designed as a conical wedge type expansive spindle. The bearings are designed as ball bearings. Tightening of the lower and upper casing parts with each other is controlled by tightening torque. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a rotary shaft on a casing in an automobile transmission.
