The invention relates to an apparatus for cleaning a pool and to a method for controlling such an apparatus, which includes a body, a liquid inlet (31), a liquid outlet, a driving device, a pumping device (21, 26, 33), a hydraulic circuit (23) between a liquid inlet and a pumping outlet (32) and through a cleaning device (22), a monitoring device providing electronic signals representative of a state of the apparatus, a unit for processing electronic signals receiving and analysing the signals of the monitoring device and controlling the pumping device, characterised in that upon detecting an event in which the body (29) exits the liquid, the processing unit halts the pumping device after a predetermined duration of discharge, in order to enable an active discharge of the hydraulic circuit. |
